A free learn to read program? OK, what's the catch?

Offering a free learn to read program has probably many of you wondering if there's a catch to it. So I think I need to explain why I'm offering a free learn to read program.

One, hopefully to make some extra income. I am an affiliate for the companies you see in the margins of my site. Each time someone clicks on one of those, and makes a purchase from that company, the company pays me a small percentage. So please browse them if any appeal to you. Otherwise, just ignore them. Also, I'm hoping to develop a reading consulting business to train small groups to use this program and other online services.

The only thing I ask in return is for you to register through my site for this free, learn to read program so I can keep statistics on who and how many are using this program. Your information is completely confidential and will not be released to any third parties. You can view my privacy policy by clicking on the link at the bottom of this page. I would also appreciate if you would let me know of any grammatical mistakes or other ways I can improve this site and the ABC-123 Reading Program. For example, are there any parts you find confusing or just don't get? I have an excellent editor, (Thanks, Mom!) but she isn't perfect. Plus, I make changes regularly after she has edited the original.

Secondly, with the literacy rate as low as it is in America something needs to change in the way we are educating our kids. I believe by making more connections between community groups, neighbors, schools, libraries, and other individuals ties will be formed that will strengthen our society, not only by improving the illiteracy rate but also in reaching out to others in need.

In school, a child usually has the same reading teacher for nine months out of a year. If that child just doesn't get it under that teacher's method then having the opportunity to be tutored by others can help. I think a lot of parents and other individuals would feel more confident about their abilities to teach reading if there was a free, learn to read program geared to those who do not know a thing about how to go about it.

Third, I was surfing the web a while back and came across an article for reading teachers and it actually said something like; "teaching reading is rocket science". I thought; "You've got to be kidding." They weren't, they were dead serious. So, I've also set out to dispel the myth that it takes a "highly qualified, state certified, board tested reading teacher" to teach someone how to read. Anyone can, as long as they understand the basics and can follow simple instructions.

I've taken all the guesswork and confusion that many other programs have out of the ABC-123 Reading Program. If you follow the simple instructions you will be able to teach someone to read. The first couple of times you use it with someone you will likely feel a bit uneasy because you'll be out of your comfort zone. But it gets easier and easier, just like learning anything new. If you can speak English clearly, read this web page and follow a simple recipe, then you have all the skills you need. Whether you are a high school dropout or a university professor, it doesn't matter.

Site Build It!
I recommend ABC-123 READ to anyone with a child having problems in school. I have a nine year old who was having problems in reading and spelling. His grades improved [almost] immediately. He went from a "C" in reading to a "B", and he went from a "D" in spelling to an "A". He also enjoys reading now. He has been on the Honor Roll every report card since we started the program that ABC-123 READ offers. I recommend this program highly.
