Preschool ActivitiesAgain, let me say, there is nothing you can do to benefit your child more than to spend quality time with her. Being held, touched, walking hand in hand, a meaningful (to the child) conversation and sang or read to, are all important ways in promoting a child's healthy development.* These activities stimulate the limbic system and thus increase a child's sense of well being and emotional stability. Exposing your child early to a wide variety of activities and experiences is the best way to prepare her for formal learning. *I am assuming that all the child's basic needs are met, such as: food, rest, and safety. If those needs are not being met a child will not
be able to develop in a well adjusted manner. A child's brain will focus on those needs to the exculsion of everything else until those needs are met.

I recommend ABC-123 READ to anyone with a child having problems in school. I have a nine year old who was having problems in reading and spelling. His grades improved [almost] immediately. He went from a "C" in reading to a "B", and he went from a "D" in spelling to an "A". He also enjoys reading now.
